Mo Pretty, Mo Problems ...

Greetings Guys & Dolls …

Eat.Pr8y.Blog. is a relationship, lifestlye blog. The name of the blog is an extension of my own life and spirit of the moment.

After a nearly 15 year string of bad relationships, I’ve decided to replace “Love” with “Blog.” Hence the name “Eat.Pr8y.Blog.” For the next year, “Blog” is my boyfriend. Since I’m new to blogging, or “Blog,” my new inanimate cyber bf, I will occassionally “see” “examine” “feel up” other topics (fashion, pop culture, music, potatoes vodka, etc).

I’m blogging under the pseudonym, “The Pretty One,” and before you go all whodoyouthinkyouare on me, allow me to elaborate and *fingers crossed* it’ll make sense. 

I’m a Southern girl and in the South there are two kinds of people that make our world go ’round. You’re either A.”The Pretty One” or B.”The Smart One.” Correction, 3 types A.”The Pretty One” B.”The Smart One” or C.”The Stupid One.” You could also add the D.”The Fugly One” but we usually try and shift them into the B or C category. The good news is, it’s possible to be more than one of these things but chances are – you’ll be noticed for the one that’s more apparent {to the rest of world}. And while I may not know the square root of X, I’ll certainly look like a million bucks while I try ,~D. I am the “The Pretty One.” 

 I’m a reformed celebutante {don’t believe the hype-anymore}. My favorite colors are “blush and bashful”  pink & pink. And I adore the colour purple – the actual color, not the film, though I do love the film as well. Without going all “Glass Menagerie” I’ve been dating since I was fifteen years old. I have a weak spot for accents and as a result have dated men from all over the world, including Bethlehem, London, Russia, Lebanon, Vietnam, Nigeria, Kenya, Australia and the United States (even New Jersey). Oh, and Jesus, from Madrid, not heaven. 

I come from a very strong, very conservative Southern family. Don’t get me wrong, we’re just as dysfunctional as the Lebowitzs and McCoys. Actually, we may be a more dysfunctional than those guys its just not as easy to snuff out “crazy” when they’re draped in haute couture. No denim shorts and cut off wife beaters here.

Alas, I’m more than just a pretty face. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) in Communications and have worked for several notable national companies including Clear Channel Broadcasting Group, RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company and also managed over 350 projects for Books-A-Million, the third largest U.S. book chain. Two years ago I left corporate America and started my own boutique communications firm specializing in public relations, image aesthetics and branding. Yay me!
